Moving to Secondary School is a big step. At The Lowry Academy we aspire to give each student the best possible start in secondary education. To help you with a smooth and positive transition, we will do as much as we can to make sure you feel confident and ready to join our school. Key dates

To help make your transition from primary school to secondary school as smooth as possible we will be hosting a range of informative and social events for you to join. Please see the dates below. More details will be sent to you prior to the event.

Event Date Who's invited Details
Transition days 30 June and 1 July 2022 Students Opportunity for your child to meet their new form tutor, see their classrooms and learn more about The Lowry Academy as well as understanding the routines of the school day and expectations. Students will also participate in exciting and engaging lessons.
Parents Information Evening 16 June 2022 Students and parents Parents will meet the Principal and key staff.
School musical production July 2022 Students Students will be invited to watch the school musical production. 
Visits to primary schools Ongoing: From April to July 2022   Our Transition team will be visiting your child’s primary school. This will provide us with an opportunity to get to know your child and gather information in preparation for their arrival.
