We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate teaching assistant to join our English as an Additional Language (EAL) team at The Lowry Academy.
We are looking for a committed colleague to support our EAL cohorts both within their timetabled lessons and to deliver intervention sessions. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The main role of the EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant is to support students access our aspirational curriculum. We are looking for someone passionate about improving the life chances of young people to work with students where English is not their first language. Whilst it is not an expectation that you can speak additional languages, you will support students on an individual or small group basis within the classroom or EAL hub to improve their progress and outcomes.

The role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, outstanding Teacher of Science with the energy, commitment, and subject knowledge to teach Science to our students. We are looking for a passionate and talented practitioner, someone who can motivate and inspire our students. The successful candidate will be creative, a strong role model and an advocate for our students.
It’s a very exciting time to join the Science Department here at the Academy. You will be working closely with the Head of Department, building strong relationships with students and other Teachers in the Academy.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join us at The Lowry Academy. We are looking for someone who is approachable, patient and who works well as part of a small team.
You will have the experience of working with children who are of a secondary school age. You must have the willingness to develop the knowledge and skills required to help young people be the best they can be.
The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator, who can form strong, positive relationships and undertake the key worker role, liaising with teachers and senior leaders. In addition, you will be proactive, the ability to learn and undertake training and meetings when necessary.
