Pupil Premium is extra funding awarded by the government to be used by schools to bridge the attainment gap and raise the aspirations of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Here is our plan outlining how we intend to spend this additional funding.
Covid Catch-up Premium
The government has allocated £650 million to be spent on supporting schools so that they can enable students to catch up. The additional funding is intended to be used for activities which ensure all students - particularly disadvantaged, SEND and vulnerable students – are given the support needed to fill any gaps in their learning as a result of lost teaching during the pandemic.
The amount each school will receives will be calculated according to the number of students they have, and they should allocate the funding according to their own needs and circumstances.
