We are excited to share the fantastic news that Year 9 students, Viktoria, Phoebe and Barbora, have achieved Gold in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Intermediate Mathematical Challenge 2025! The prestigious challenge focuses on testing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills and logical thinking rather than just curriculum knowledge.

The Intermediate level of the competition is designed for students aged 13-16, meaning our students were competing against students from higher year groups, making their achievement even more impressive. Earning Gold demonstrates their hard work, dedication and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Their success not only highlights their individual talents but also brings pride to our school community.

High-scoring participants like them may qualify for follow-on rounds, such as the Kangaroo or the Olympiad, offering even more opportunities to showcase their mathematical skills.
