We are incredibly proud to share the exciting news that one of our Year 7 students, Ravidu, has been announced as a winner of the UK Polar Network’s Antarctica Day Flag Competition.
Each year, students across the country are invited to design flags to celebrate Antarctica Day. The competition challenges students to think creatively about the unique environment.
Ravidu’s thoughtful and imaginative flag design stood out and was chosen to make a very special journey - all the way to Antarctica! His winning flag was taken to the Rothera Research Station on the Antarctica Peninsula by marine biologist Pati Glaz, where it was proudly displayed alongside flags from other young winners.
This is an outstanding achievement and a truly global recognition of Ravidu’s creativity. We are delighted to see one of our students being celebrated on an international stage – and in one of the most remote and fascinating places on Earth!
Congratulations, Ravidu, on this inspiring accomplishment!
