This May, Year 7 embarked on an unforgettable journey to Chester Zoo. Following Climate and Sustainability Workshops with Chester Zoo's Education Officers in school, Year 7 were lucky enough to be invited to explore the Zoo itself.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn about various animal species and their habitats. They discovered fascinating facts about conservation efforts and the importance of protecting our planet's incredible biodiversity.
Not only was the trip a fun-filled day out, it sparked thoughtful conversations about how individuals and communities can make a difference. Our students returned full of ideas and enthusiasm, ready to take positive action both at school and at home.
A heartfelt thank you to Chester Zoo for hosting us and igniting a passion for wildlife and conservation in our Year 7 students.
"It was amazing to see the animals up close and learn about how the zoo is helping to protect them. It made everything we talked about in the workshops feel real." - Year 7 student.
