The BBC visit The Lowry Academy

Last term, we welcomed BBC Bitesize into The Lowry Academy to speak to our students about the different careers available in the Performing Arts/Media/Film industry.

Our students were lucky enough to meet and listen to actor Liam Scholes, who has starred in Waterloo Road, Peaky Blinders, Coronation Street and more. He spoke about his route into acting, his favourite and least favourite parts about working in the industry and gave advice to our inspiring Actors/Actress’.

The day was an amazing opportunity for our students. Thank you to Liam and The BBC for taking the time to inspire our young people.
