James' Flag Takes Antarctica

This term, Year 7 student, James Shi, won Polar Network’s Antarctica Day Flag competition. His incredible artwork caught the attention of the judges and was chosen as the winning flag.

Emma Cameron, a PhD student in Polar Oceanography from St Andrews University, can be seen holding James’ flag at McMurdo Station in Antarctica!

We are all extremely proud of James and his incredible achievement. We cannot wait to see where his artwork takes him next.

Miss Duckworth, Head of Geography: "Well done to everyone who entered the Antarctica Flag competition and to James who won. I feel very proud that James has designed such a lovely flag which has brought joy to researchers and highlights the importance of the great work that they do!”
