What are we aiming to achieve in the Food Technology department?

This scheme of work has been developed to teach students where food comes from, how to cook a range of dishes safely and hygienically and to apply their knowledge of healthy eating. Students will develop their knowledge of consumer food and drink choice, enabling them to make informed choices for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Hospitality and Catering offers a unique opportunity for students to develop their knowledge and extend their skills in a vocational context. It is suitable for those who want a broad background in this area and for those who wish to progress to further education. It will offer valuable preparation for those entering the world of work.
